Sr Mary Anne Sultana, daughter of the late Gerald and of Carmen nee Theuma, celebrated 25 years of her religious profession within the Congregation of the Daughters of the Heart of Jesus on Sunday 24th August 2014. Sr Sultana hails from Xaghra and so Mass in celebration took place in the Basilica dedicated to the Birth of the Virgin Mary in Xaghra. Leading the congregation was her mother, Carmen, with her brother and sister with their families and many other Sisters, members of the said Congregation. Mgr Carmelo Refalo, Xaghra Archpriest, led Mass with seven other priests co celebrating, including the Parish Vicar Fr Joe Bajada and Archpriest Emeritus Mgr Eucharist Sultana. Seminarian Joseph Hili animated Mass while singing was by Choir Voci Angeliche under direction of Ms Grace Vella.
