B’fidi kbira Suor Mikelina spjegatilna kif, permezz tat-talb u l-fidi, il-providenza t’Alla ma taqta’ qatt u xejn u li anke f’mumenti bhal dawn sabet nies li ghenu mhux ftit f’din il-hidma. Is-Superjura sejhet lil Suor Aloisia Bajada mill-parocca taghna tax-Xaghra li l-vokazzjoni taghha wasslitha f’dan il-kunvent 70 sena ilu! M’hemmx kliem aktar hlief li nheggukom issegwu il-messagg li Suor Aloisia tat lil crew tal-website taghna biex inxandruh lill-poplu tax-Xaghra, l-Emigranti u dawk kollha li jsegwuna. On Sunday 28 December 2013, the administration of this website paid a visit to the Augustinian Cloistered Sisters in Valletta. Mother Superior, Sr Mikelina Mifsud who has occupied the post for the last eight years, welcomed the visitors. Recently, the Monastery underwent extensive refurbishment and restoration works. This was done at a great expense but, as Sr Mifsud said, through prayer and faith God’s Providence is always at hand and help was always arriving. Mother Superior then called Sr Aloisia Bajada, our compatriot who joined the Congregation 70 years ago! In the video (in Maltese), Sr Aloisia describes how she felt and accepted her vocation to join cloistered nuns. We invite you (Maltese speaking persons) to listen to Sr Aloisia’s message and her best wishes for the New Year to the people of her native Xaghra, emigrants and followers of the Xaghra Parish Official website. On our part we thank Mother Superior for acceding to our request and Sr Aloisia for her message and wish the Augustinian Community a Year full of Heavenly Blessings and more pastoral work from within the four walls of the monastery through prayer and the monastic cloistered lives they lead.
