Seminarian Daniel Sultana from Xaghra moved a step forward towards the priesthood when, in a packed Basilica on Sunday 9th December 2012, he received the Ministry of Acolyte at the hands of The Apostolic Nuncio to Malta, His Grace Archbishop Tommaso Caputo in the presence of the Bishop of Gozo, H.L. Mgr. Mario Grech and many other priests led by Xaghra Archpriest Mgr Carmelo Refalo. Daniel's family led the congregation. Besides conferring the Minstry of Acolyte on Seminarian Daniel Sultana, Mgr. Caputo was also paying a farewell visit to Gozo having been recently appointed Archbishop of Pompei by H.H. Pope Benedict XVI. At end of Mass, Bishop Grech presented Mgr Caputo with a framed picture of the Madonna Ta' Pinu. With Mgr Grech, Mgr Caputo cut a cake "Ad Multos Annos". The parish Choir Voci Angeliche animated the singing accompanied on the organ by Seminarian Mario Curmi. To Mgr Caputo, thanks and farewell; to Acolyte Daniel Sultana our congratulations and Ad Multos Annos.
