Seminarians Mark Bonello of Xaghra and Daniel Grech from the Parish of Kercem received the Ministry of Lectors from Bishop Mario Grech on Sunday 28 February 2010. The ceremony took place during Celebration of the Holy Eucharist in Sannat Parish Church dedicated to St Margaret, Virgin and Martyr, the main celebrant being H.L. Bishop Mario Grech. Among the good number of co celebrants were the Archpriests of Sannat and Xaghra and the Rector and high officials of the Major Seminary of Gozo. For the two young men, this is another step in the long way to the priesthood. Through their new Ministry they are called upon to bring the Word to the faithful now more than ever before as His Lordship emphasized in his sermon. He also solicited the faithful to pray for more vocations. Leading the congregation packing the Church were the new Minister`s parents and their families.
